Muldowney Delivers 2020 State of City Address March 12

Pottsville Mayor James Muldowney delivers the 2020 State of the City Address on Thursday, March 12.

According to an announcement this week, the Pottsville Mayor will make his address from the Majestic Theater on N. Centre St. beginning at 6 p.m.

“Please join me as we discuss the collaborative development initiatives that will promote community and economic development in this new decade,” Muldowney says in his announcement.

The city will also recognize the 2020 Partners in Progress and Prosperity.

Pottsville’s State of the City Address really never contains a lot of surprises. Expect to hear a lot about the the events that happened in the last year. And the mayor usually talks about upcoming events and ongoing projects around Pottsville.

You likely won’t hear much or anything at all about the problems plaguing Pottsville, like rampant hard drug use, homelessness, and increased crime.
