Here’s a look at the final scores from Matchday 2 of Schuylkill League girls soccer action held Saturday, Sept. 7
In Division 2 action, Minersville and Williams Valley earned big wins and their second league victory.
The Lady Vikings took care of Lourdes, 3-0. And Minersville scored 6 — again — on Schuylkill Haven in the Hurricanes’ first league match of the season, winning 6-1.
Tri-Valley topped Nativity in the other Division 2 game, 3-2.
Among the big schools, goals were harder to come by, but Blue Mountain and Pine Grove each got their second league wins in as many tries.
The Eagles topped Jim Thorpe, 2-1, and Pine Grove beat North Schuylkill, 2-0.
In the other game, Tamaqua topped Lehighton, 2-0.
Next league games: Tuesday, Sept. 10
Coming up this week, on Tuesday, Lehighton travels to Jim Thorpe. Pottsville heads out to Pine Grove and Tamaqua goes to North Schuylkill in Division 1 action. And Tri-Valley heads up to Lourdes, Weatherly comes to Minersville and Nativity takes on Schuylkill Haven in Haven.
