Here they are … right before deadline.

Coal Region Canary is using the start of the 2019 high school football season to start picking the winners of anything in sight.

We think we have a good handle on the Week 1 schedule. Here’s who we have coming out on top on Friday (and Saturday):

  • Muhlenberg
  • Millersburg
  • Williams Valley
  • Jim Thorpe
  • Pine Grove
  • Tamaqua
  • North Schuylkill
  • Lehighton
  • Pottsville
  • Tri-Valley
  • Morrisville
  • Marian Catholic
  • Panther Valley

This season we’re following the teams in the Schuylkill League, the 3 Schuylkill County teams in the Tri-Valley Conference and Nativity.

Check back next week for our Week 2 picks and to see how we did in Week 1.
