Fire crews from western Schuylkill County got dispatched to a massive chicken coop fire near Gratz Thursday afternoon. Crews remain on the scene of the fire as of 4:15 p.m.

The smoke from the chicken coop fire could be seen in Erdman.
Details are scarce at the moment. We’re looking into what chicken facility this is.
These huge chicken facilities often contain thousands or tens of thousands of chickens.
Earlier this year, a massive chicken coop fire just over the Berks County line in Shartlesville. In that blaze, at least 26,000 chicken died.
