On Thursday, athletes from Shenandoah Valley School District teamed up to help with water distribution in the community.
Since Monday night, residents served by Aqua Pennsylvania had been without water service at their homes and businesses.
In response, literal truckloads of water have been delivered to Shenandoah for distribution to residents in need of fresh supplies.
On Thursday, Niagara Bottle Hazleton partnered with Walmart Transportation of Pottsville on the latest delivery of bottled water.
And there to help unload the donation and distribute it to the community were members of the Shenandoah Valley baseball, football, and boys’ and girls’ basketball teams.
See photos below of the distribution:

Throughout the water crisis this week, thousands of gallons of water have been donated to the greater Shenandoah community from companies like these, SCI-Frackville, Mrs. T’s Pierogies, Boyer’s Food Market, Redner’s Warehouse Market, Aqua Pennsylvania, and more.
Non-potable water also brought in through a partnership between Shenandoah, Ringtown, and Ryan Township fire departments.
