National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Schuylkill County.
The Winter Weather Advisory goes into effect at noon on Friday and expires at 7 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27.
With the Winter Weather Advisory also comes some revised snow totals for Schuylkill County. And they’re generally lower than originally forecast for the area.
The latest from National Weather Service indicates Schuylkill County locations are expected to receive up to 2 inches of snow during the incoming winter storm. About two-tenths of an inch of ice is also expected.
Snow mixed with sleet will keep snow totals down but could lead to ice accumulation tomorrow into early Saturday morning.
Travel conditions are still likely to be hazardous during the wintry weather.
The Winter Storm Watch issued previously has been cancelled.
