South Schuylkill Garden Club is offering a $1,000 scholarship to students in the area who are considering entering several different fields or are already enrolled in them.
Each year the South Schuylkill Garden Club hosts an annual plant sale. Funds received from this plant sale helps fund a variety of projects from programs to a scholarship to benefit local students.
Eligibility and Fields of Study
Schuylkill County high school seniors and college students are encouraged to apply. The scholarship is awarded to a high school senior who plans to attend an institution of higher learning within the following fields:
- Horticulture
- Floriculture
- Landscape architecture
- Conservation
- Forestry
- Botany
- Agronomy
- Plant pathology
- Environmental control
- Land-use planning
- Land management
- Allied fields
College students already enrolled in these majors are also welcome to apply.
