Two Appointed to Schuylkill Haven Council

Vacancies created by election results in 2025

Schuylkill Haven has two new members of its Borough Council.

On Wednesday, council members voted to appoint Christopher Nauyalis and Richard Croneberger to seats on the board.

Both will serve two-year terms and their appointments were made possible by vacancies following the 2025 General Election.

John Williams was elected Mayor in November. He had been a councilman at the time of the election, so he vacated that seat and the two years left on that term.

Bill Luckenbill was appointed to council last summer and ran for election in November for both a 2-year and 4-year seat that were up for grabs. He won both.

Luckenbill opted to take the 4-year seat and that left the 2-year seat vacant.

Each of the seats filled on Wednesday will be up for election in 2027.
