National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Schuylkill County.
The Winter Storm Watch goes into effect at 7 a.m. Friday and expires at 7 a.m. Saturday.
As of the latest forecast, a heavy wintry mix is expected in Schuylkill County during this time. Snowfall accumulations between 3-5 inches are expected. Additionally, up to two-tenths of an inch of ice is expected from sleet.
Hazardous travel conditions are expected during this anticipated winter storm. NWS says the Friday morning and evening commutes will likely be impacted by wintry weather.
