Blue Mountain School District has released a statement Thursday night regarding “rumors” it said are circulating regarding a threat against student safety.
In a statement to parents Thursday, the District says a Blue Mountain High School student reported overhearing a possible threat to student safety.
An investigation was launched, the school says, and numerous witnesses were interviewed. In the end, the school says the threat was unsubstantiated. Further, the school says it believes “students falsely accused another student to cause a disruption.”
It says there are “inaccurate rumors circulating throughout the student body” but regardless, Blue Mountain will be implementing additional security precautions and have extra personnel at the school Friday.
