The January 2025 Students of the Month of the Pottsville Rotary Club were honored at the Rotary Club weekly meeting on Wednesday, January 8 at Vito’s Coal Fired Restaurant in St. Clair.
Congratulations to: Nativity students – Emily Conroy and Michael Stank, and Pottsville students – Hadley Snyder and Aiden Cover.
Nativity BVM High School
Emily Conroy
Emily Conroy is the daughter of Kelly and Brian Conroy, Frackville. Her school activities consist of: Yearbook, Interact Club, Math Club, Student Government, Academic Team, Aevidum, Student Ambassador, National Honors Society, and Science National Honors Society.
She volunteers in the community with the Girl Scouts.
After graduation, Emily plans to attend Lebanon Valley College and major in Physical Therapy to earn her Doctorate. She would like to become a licensed Physical Therapist.
Michael Stank
Michael Stank is the son of Mike and Jaqueline Stank, Pottsville. His school activities are Football, Winter Track, Spring Track, Interact Club, Student Ambassador, National Honors Society, and Science National Honors Society. He volunteers as a Firefighter.
After graduation he plans to continue his education at a 4-year college with the goal of working in the engineering field.
Pottsville Area High School
Hadley Snyder
Hadley Snyder is the daughter of Angela and David Snyder, Pottsville. Her school activities consist of: Aevidum, Key Club, Foreign Language Club, Mini THON, Student Council, Prom Committee, National Honors Society, Spanish National Honors Society, Publications, Soccer, and Track.
In the community, Hadley cleaned up the courtyard and planted mums in preparation for the graduation ceremony. She also rang a bell asking for donations for the Salvation Army outside of Boscov’s before Christmas.
After graduation, Hadley plans to attend a four-year college.
Aiden Cover
Aiden Cover is the son of Joseph and Sherry Simons, Port Carbon. His school activities include the National Honors Society.
In the community, Aiden volunteers to make Holiday Basket deliveries.
After graduation, Aiden plans to attend Wilkes University to become a chemist.
