After about a week of hype over a potential snowstorm heading toward Schuylkill County tomorrow, it appears there won’t be much to it.
The forecast still seems to be changing, even as this article comes together, but it’s almost certain that anything more than 2 Inches of snow here is unlikely.
As of Sunday evening, the more popular forecasters in the area seem to be in agreement that we’ll see anywhere between 1-3 inches of snow on Monday. Heaviest snowfall totals will likely happen in southern and western Schuylkill County.
Accumulating snow is expected to start just before dawn on Monday.
Here’s a look at what they’re saying (as of 5 p.m. Sunday):
National Weather Service says there’s a good chance of snow on Monday. After saying Sunday that we’ll be lucky to get an inch, NWS now says we can expect between 1-2 inches of snow on Monday here in Schuylkill County.
Accuweather is saying pretty much the same thing for the Pottsville area: 1-3 inches of snow.
The Weather Channel has Schuylkill County getting 1 inch of snow.
Local weather forecaster Ryan Fannock is also predicting between 1-3 inches of snow for us here in Schuylkill County.
For locals who have to travel south for work, they can expect slightly more snow on Monday.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for Berks, Dauphin, and Lebanon counties, where 2-4 inches of snow is expected on Monday in Reading, Harrisburg, and Lebanon.
Just 1-2 inches of snow is expected in Allentown.
