Schuylkill County’s representative in Congress, US Rep. Dan Meuser (PA-9) announced Friday that he’s joined the DOGE Caucus.
The DOGE Caucus was created to support an advisory council established by President-elect Donald Trump to root out government waste and inefficiencies. That advisory council is being headed up by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy.
Meuser says he met with Musk and Ramaswamy as they made their rounds on Capitol Hill on Thursday.
“This week, I had an opportunity to spend nearly an hour and a half with Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to discuss their plans for the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE),” Meuser says in a statement. “I was able to ask questions and share my recommendations on rooting out waste, fraud, redundancies, and unnecessary bureaucracy in the federal government.
“As a member of the House DOGE Caucus, I look forward to working alongside President Trump’s advisory council, the Department of Government Efficiency, to make much-needed reforms to regain a limited government,” Meuser adds.
The Canary asked Meuser’s office where the Congressman believes DOGE can be most effective but got no response on Friday.
