Two Schuylkill County residents are in the running to win the Pennsylvania Farm Show National Anthem contest.
Winning this contest gives them the opportunity to open a day of the Farm Show by singing the National Anthem. And in order to win, they need your help and they need it right away.
Ally Bet, 14, and Cadence Kline, 9, are both from Barnesville and students in the Mahanoy Area School District. They’re among the 20 finalists vying for the final 12 positions. A panel of judges selected them to be among the top 20 but now, social media votes can propel them to a top 12 position.
Should one of these girls come out on top, it’ll mark the fourth year in a row that a Schuylkill County girl has been the top vote-getter in this contest. Kalli Smith, of Gordon, was tops in 2021; Mia Bixler, of Schuylkill Haven, in 2022; and Thea Sten, also of Schuylkill Haven, in 2023.
In order to get these local girls into the top 12, they need your help. You can vote for them by visiting the Farm Show’s Facebook post. Scroll down through the comments until you see Bet’s and Kline’s videos. Then, simply give each a reaction: such as a Like, Love, or Wow.

Voting in this contest ends on Sunday, Nov. 24, at 11:59 p.m. so the time to get this done is now.
