Our Fur-iday Friends series returns this week and we think now is a perfect time for you to visit the Hillside SPCA to get these special dogs and cats a forever home for the holidays.
Have a look at their profiles and please consider bringing them into your home for the holiday season.
Let’s meet this week’s Fur-iday Friends:
John Dutton
John Dutton is 2-3 years old. He’s a handsome long-haired orange cat that’ll provide you with plenty of engaging online content (ask the internet about orange cats).
John Dutton is neutered, up-to-date on shots, feline AIDS and leukemia negative. John is super friendly and loves people. He does well with other cats.
Jamie
Jamie is 3-4 years old. He’s not your ordinary gray tiger-striped cat and you’ll have to see him in person to understand what we’re saying. He’s quite the looker.
Jamie’s neutered, up-to-date on shots, and feline AIDS and leukemia negative.
The staff at Hillside believes he was an outside cat because out of the eight cats dumped with him at the shelter, he was the only one in a separate crate.
Jamie is shy at first but extremely sweet once he warms up to you. He hasn’t been at Hillside long enough to have been dog-tested but it’d be great not to make him stay there much longer.
Taji
Taji is about 18 months old and is a lab mix.
He’s a very talkative pup and gets along well with other dogs. Previously, Taji lived with small kids so he should be fine in a home with children.
Taji does need a little time to warm up to anyone who wants to adopt him. And whoever does take him to his forever home would need to be active because Taji has a lot of energy.
Jess
Jess is 3 years old and staff believe she’s a Chihuahua-Boxer mix. Try not to overthink that.
Also, don’t read too much into her photo here. Jess is actually very friendly. She was just having a good time posing for the camera this week.
Jess has a lot of energy and is a fence climber, so she’d need to go to a home with a secured yard. She’d be best in a home with kids older than 10.
She likes other dogs but overall is quiet and well-mannered and believed to be house-trained.
