Woman Faces Open Lewdness Charge for Alleged Activity in Suedberg Public Bathroom

A woman bowed out of The Contest late last year in a Pine Grove area public restroom. Police have filed open lewdness charges against her.

According to court documents filed recently by State Police-Schuylkill Haven, the incident occurred at the TA Express in Suedberg, Pine Grove Township, at about 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 17. There, police say Kristen Bickel, 56, of Lykens, was causing a disturbance and then things escalated.

Witnesses tell police that Bickel was inside TA Express screaming obscenities and disturbing customers. She was also demanding that employees give her cigarettes.

Bickel then allegedly went into the public restroom at the store and continued yelling. An employee went into the public restroom to check on Bickel and saw her no longer being … queen of the castle, as it were.

Seeing this, the employee told Bickel to leave the store. Bickel continued yelling and disturbing customers but eventually left on her own, police say.

Police have charged Bickel with open lewdness, a third-degree misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, for her activity in the bathroom. She’ll have to answer to these charges at a preliminary hearing before District Magistrate Judge David Rossi on Feb. 27.
