Schuylkill Technology Center’s Adult Practical Nursing Program recently announced that its 2023-2024 NCLEX-PN pass rate was a perfect 100%.
The National Council Licensure Examination is required by nursing school graduates in Pennsylvania. A passing mark is needed to get a license to practice nursing in the state.
Schuylkill Technology Center-North has an 18-month day nursing program for adult learners. Students participate in clinical rotations with Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital, Lehigh Valley Health Network Schuylkill, Mt. Carmel Nursing and Rehabilitation, Shenandoah Manor, Broad Mountain Nursing Home, Greenwood Center for Nursing, Devita Dialysis, Silver Pines Rehabilitation, Aveanna Pediatric Home Health, Child Development Inc, and Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29.
Kimberly O’Neill, STC’s Practical Nursing Program coordinator, says “The first nursing class graduated from STC in 1968, and we have continued that proud tradition with over 2000 graduates to meet the healthcare needs of the community.”
STC is now accepting applications for the next class scheduled for May 2025.
An adult-learning evening program is planned to be launced in 2025.
