A Tremont man is in Schuylkill County Prison following a series of incidents in which he broke into a home and threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend.
According to court records obtained by The Canary, Ronald Sticker is accused of breaking into a home on Clay St. in Tremont back on Sept. 10.
Police say they received a call from a neighbor to the home which was broken into, saying that a 6-3, 380-pound man – later identified as Sticker – had removed an air conditioner from a window and made his way inside the home.
Sticker also allegedly threatened a neighbor who had approached him as he was in the act of getting into the home. When that neighbor told Sticker that he was breaking the law, Sticker reportedly said, “Keep it up. I’ll come over there and kill you.”
When police arrived on the scene, the homeowner reportedly said she believed someone was inside her home.
Police entered the home and eventually made their way to a second-floor bedroom and made contact with Sticker. When police attempted to take Sticker into custody, he resisted.
A Taser was used to subdue the defendant and eventually get him in cuffs.
That incident came about two weeks after an initial one involving Sticker.
Back on Aug. 29, police were called to Vaux Ave. in Tremont for a report of terroristic threats being made.
At about 5 p.m. that day, police interviewed a woman who said she was Sticker’s ex-girlfriend.
Sticker was allegedly walking along Vaux Ave. and called her brother wanting to speak to his ex. She told police that while on the phone with Sticker, he reportedly said, “I will (bleeping) kill you so I could take the children.”
The ex told police that Sticker had recently lost custody and visitation rights to their children due to his drug abuse and that he was homeless at the time.
Police told the ex to get a Protection from Abuse (PFA) order against Sticker.
Sticker was eventually arraigned on Sept. 11, following his arrest for the alleged break-in on Clay St., and remanded to Schuylkill County Prison on $10,000 bail. He has not been charged for the break-in, according to court records, but does face two first-degree misdemeanor charges of making terroristic threats from each of the recent incidents as well as other misdemeanor charges.
A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled for Sept. 26 before District Magistrate David Rossi.
