A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Minersville man for his alleged role in a violent bar fight earlier this week.
Timothy Ebert, 30, is wanted for allegedly attacking a bar patron outside Mazloom’s Bar & Restaurant, New Philadelphia, at about 1 a.m. on Aug. 26.
According to an affidavit filed by State Police-Frackville, the victim of the alleged attack said Ebert was told to leave Mazloom’s and once he got outside, Ebert attacked the victim.
Police say Ebert punched the victim multiple times, knocking him to the ground. While the victim was on the ground, Ebert reportedly kicked the victim in the head and face, causing swelling and bruising.
A window at Mazloom’s was also damaged during the attack.
This altercation was captured on video surveillance, according to police.
A family member took the victim to Lehigh Valley Hospital-East in Pottsville. He was then taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest for further treatment. It’s reported that he suffered an orbital floor fracture, sometimes referred to as a blowout fracture.
Ebert reportedly fled the scene on an ATV.
Police say attempts to reach Ebert at his Pine Hill St. address have been unsuccessful. He’s facing a first-degree felony aggravated assault charge in addition to second-degree misdemeanors for criminal mischief and simple assault and a summary charge of harassment.
