Here’s our next installment of Fur-iday Friends, dedicated to helping shelter animals in Schuylkill County find their new best friends.
Every Friday, we introduce you to a group of a shelter’s charming residents — cats and dogs — all eager to call yours their new fur-ever home.
Check back every “Fur-iday” and help these wonderful creatures find the love and care they deserve.
Here are this week’s Fur-iday Friends:
Gail
Gail is a pitbull and about 4 years old.
She came to Hillside SPCA as a stray. She is spayed and up-to-date on her shots.
Gail would do best in a home as an only pet with no children. The shelter says anyone intent on adopting her would need a few visits so she warms up to them.
Xena
Xena is about 6-7 years old and a pitbull mix.
She is spayed and up-to-date on her shots.
Xena is good with cats but not other dogs and may be good in a home with children but that’s unknown.
General Tso
General Tso is about 1 year old and came to the shelter as a stray.
He’s been neutered and is up-to-date on his shots. General Tso is negative for FIV and leukemia.
He’s great with people but not other cats.
Marietta
Marietta is anywhere between 3-4 years old and also came to the shelter as a stray. She’s spayed, up-to-date on shots and negative for FIV and leukemia.
Marietta is great with people, kids, and other cats. She’d need to be dog-tested to see if she’s right for a home with dogs. Extremely friendly, she’s ready to go home with the first person to say hello to her.
