What inspired you to start this business, and how did your personal journey lead you here?
“It has been a longtime dream to have my own gift shop and business.”
What unique products or services do you offer that can’t be found elsewhere in our community?
“We carry a variety of loose leaf and bagged teas. Different teapots and accoutrements, scone mixes, dip and soup mixes. Candles, goat milk soaps, holiday decor, and Tiffany style lamps and window medallions. We also have artwork by local artists and a variety of books. We also offer a full Afternoon Tea once a month. Our teas are a five-course meal including tea. The menu changes seasonally and includes a scone, soup, tea sandwiches, and dessert.”
How does your business contribute to the local community or participate in community events?
“We have had Afternoon tea fundraisers for local communities.”
What do you want customers to experience when they interact with your business?
“When a customer comes to Hydrangea Cottage we want them to feel at home. We provide a relaxing environment and a pleasant shopping experience. Our Afternoon Teas are a delightful treat to celebrate a special occasion or just to have a day out with friends and family.”
What does your business offer that would make a great gift for the holiday season?
“We have many different gifts for the holidays including a lot of small stocking stuffers. Books, teas, marmalades, candles, ornaments, accent lamps, bayberry candles, potpourri, tart melts, and more.”
