Road Work Projects Starting in Schuylkill County This Week

PennDOT has announced the following road projects will begin this week in Schuylkill County.

These projects are in addition to other ongoing projects in the county.

Ryan Township – Interstate 81 South

• Between:  Exit 131 (PA 154) and Exit 124 (PA 61)
• Type of work:  Crack Sealing
• Work being done by:  PennDOT Maintenance Forces

There will be lane restrictions. Expect delays and please use caution driving through the work zone.

Work is expected to be done between March 27-28, from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.

New Castle and Butler Townships – Interstate 81

• Between:  Exit 119 (Highridge Park Road) and Exit 124 (PA 61)
• Type of work:  Crack Sealing
• Work being done by:  PennDOT Maintenance Forces

This will be a moving operation. Be alert for lane restrictions on I-81 north or south. Expect delays and please use caution driving through the work zone.

Work should run from March 29-30, from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Schuylkill County – Interstate 81

• Between:  Exit 100 (Pine Grove) and Exit 141 (Hazleton South Beltway)
• Type of work:  Sweeping
• Work being done by:  PennDOT Maintenance Forces

This will be a moving operation. Be alert for lane restrictions on I-81 north or south. Expect delays and please use caution driving through the work zone.

Work will be done from March 27-31, from 11 p.m. until 7 a.m.
