PennDOT has announced the following road projects will begin this week in Schuylkill County.
These projects are in addition to other ongoing projects in the county.
Ryan Township – Interstate 81 South
- Between: Exit 131 (PA 154) and Exit 124 (PA 61)
- Type of work: Crack Sealing
- Work being done by: PennDOT Maintenance Forces
There will be lane restrictions. Expect delays and please use caution driving through the work zone.
Work is expected to be done between March 27-28, from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.
New Castle and Butler Townships – Interstate 81
- Between: Exit 119 (Highridge Park Road) and Exit 124 (PA 61)
- Type of work: Crack Sealing
- Work being done by: PennDOT Maintenance Forces
This will be a moving operation. Be alert for lane restrictions on I-81 north or south. Expect delays and please use caution driving through the work zone.
Work should run from March 29-30, from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Schuylkill County – Interstate 81
- Between: Exit 100 (Pine Grove) and Exit 141 (Hazleton South Beltway)
- Type of work: Sweeping
- Work being done by: PennDOT Maintenance Forces
This will be a moving operation. Be alert for lane restrictions on I-81 north or south. Expect delays and please use caution driving through the work zone.
Work will be done from March 27-31, from 11 p.m. until 7 a.m.
