New Year’s Eve Celebration Returning to Garfield Square in Pottsville

The Lager bottle set to rise at midnight in Pottsville.

The annual New Year’s Eve celebration held on Garfield Square in Pottsville is returning in 2021.

It’s often a fun time in Pottsville as the seconds tick away on each year. But the event was called off in 2020 due to the COVID pandemic.

But this year, the bottle of Yuengling Lager will once again rise to signify the start of a new year, 2022.

Festivities officially begin at 11:30 p.m. on the square, between 4th and 6th streets along West Market St. in Pottsville.

Music will keep the masses entertained. And then as the clock draws nearer to midnight, a huge bottle of Yuengling beer will rise up to ring in the new year in Pottsville.
