In Pine Grove, State Police say a fight over a dog that ran away escalated and got violent.
On Oct. 24, police say they responded to a home on S. Tulpehocken St. That’s where they found 63-year-old Randy Yordy, of Grantville, and a similarly-aged woman from Pine Grove.
The two had gotten into a shouting match over a dog that had run away. The woman told police she retreated to her bedroom but Yordy followed her.
In the bedroom, Yordy allegedly smashed the woman’s laptop. He then grabbed the woman off the bed and punched her several times. Police say the woman suffered bodily injuries in the fight.
Yordy was taken before District Judge Anthony Kilker and sent to Schuylkill County Prison on assault and harassment charges. He’s since posted bail and released. Yordy will be back in court for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 16 before District Judge David Rossi.
