Nearly 3.5% of the Schuylkill County population has received the full 2-dose COVID-19 vaccine.
Over the last 7 days, as reported by the Pennsylvania Dept. of Health, 1,204 Schuylkill County residents got their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. That brought the total, as of Feb. 7, to 3,661.
To determine the percentage of the population that’s received its vaccine doses, we took 75% of the estimated population of Schuylkill County (141,000). It’s assumed 75% of the population is above the age of 16, the youngest person currently approved to receive a COVID vaccine.
13% of Schuylkill County Has Received At Least 1 COVID Vaccine Dose
In addition to the approximately 3,600 who received their full vaccine in Schuylkill County, 10,328 have gotten their first shot and are awaiting the second dose. Last week, 1,165 Schuylkill County residents got their first dose.
The total number of 13,989 people who have received their first dose includes those who also received their second dose. More than 13% of Schuylkill County residents have gotten at least 1 dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The amount of people who’ve gotten the COVID vaccine in Schuylkill County from Feb. 1-7 was mostly unchanged from the previous 7 days.
