Larry Padora doesn’t hide his politics.
In fact, last week, the owner of Padora’s Italian Bakery in Tamaqua, started branding his politics right on to his product. Like, literally branded it.
To show his support for President Donald Trump, Padora now sells “Trump Bread” from his ambitious, old-world family-owned bakery.
Italian Bakery in Tamaqua Selling Trump Bread Loaves by the Hundreds
Trump Bread is the same as the bread that’s made his business famous in Schuylkill County. It’s the same 3 ingredients his family’s always used. And it comes out of the same anthracite coal-fired oven.
There’s just one difference. When it comes out of the oven, the bakery’s famous bread is emblazoned with TRUMP right into the crust.
John Rich fashioned the branding iron for Padora.
Padora heats the iron up over the coals and then presses it right into the crunchy crust of his Italian bread loaves.
Padora says he wasn’t even planning on selling the bread. But when pictures of it started spreading on social media, he couldn’t ignore the demand.
We stopped out to his tiny bakery on Saturday afternoon and there was a steady stream of customers queueing up for Trump Bread right up until closing time.
“I want the Trump Bread,” a customer says, cash in hand ready to pay.
The idea was such a whim that Padora isn’t even sure how long he’ll be selling Trump Bread. If Trump wins on Tuesday, surely he’ll keep the product moving for at least a little while after the election.
And he’s not worried about offending his customers. He’s not one of those shy Trump voters you may read about. No way.
Padora says, “Business people should be allowed to have an opinion.”
He says fearing the cancel culture and boycotts of products isn’t the way to do business. Padora realizes people may not like Trump. And he certainly doesn’t support Biden. But Padora doesn’t dislike anyone who supports either.
Instead, he’s looking for a President who works to make life running a business better. And in the past 4 years, running his business with Trump in the White House has worked out well for him.

Larry, keep it going. After the election, brand it with “WINNING”
