Police tried to take Evans into custody but he refused to cooperate. That’s when he became what police described as “physically aggressive” and resisted attempts to take him into custody.
During the fight, Evans headbutted a State Trooper. Police are not saying if the Trooper who received the headbutt sustained any injuries.
Evans was taken into custody eventually and taken before District Judge James Ferrier on Monday afternoon and arraigned on charges of second-degree felony aggravated assault, simple assault, and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors.
He’s being held in Schuylkill County Prison on $25,000 bail.
