3 Weed Wackers Ripped Off Near Tremont

Not one, not two, but three weed wackers were stolen in the last 10 days in Schuylkill County.

Could it be people who couldn’t wait for barbers and salons to reopen today? Unlikely.

The reports of the stolen weed wackers all happened in the Tremont area.

3 Weed Wackers Taken from Tremont Area

Let’s take a look at the separate incidents recently:

Weed Wacker Snatched from Church

The first report of a stolen weed wacker came in from Echo Valley Brethern Church in Tremont Township.

It happened some time between 3 p.m. on June 6 and 5:30 p.m. on June 11.

State Police in Schuylkill Haven say someone broke into a shed at the church and stole a Stihl FS91R weed wacker. The weed wacker is orange and white in color. And it carries a $370 price tag.

The thief broke the shed’s door and lock in the process. Police put a $50 value on that.

Weed Wackers Taken from Municipal Authority

State Police continue looking for the person or persons who took a pair of weed wackers from a property owned by Schuylkill County Municipal Authority in Tremont.

Some time between 2:15 p.m. on June 8 and 8:40 a.m. on June 9, someone made in into a fenced-in area by a way of a hole in that fence.

That’s when they took a pair of Stihl weed wackers valued at $150 each.

Police aren’t sure of which way the person or persons went in that incident either.
