Tributes Continue for Jack Dolbin
The sudden news of Dolbin’s death is still making its way among the many people he impacted in his 70-plus years.
At Wake Forest
His college alma mater, Wake Forest University, honored Dolbin with a tribute on their website and posted a great photo of him from his playing days there.
For the Demon Deacons, Dolbin starred in his sophomore season. That was after being forced to sit his freshman year with a broken leg he suffered in the Big 33 game in the off-season.
Not only did Dolbin excel out of the backfield for Wake Forest, he was also an accomplished member of the track-and-field team.
Teammates of Dolbin’s at Wake have been replying to various social media remembrances posted in the days since his death.
At the Broncos Facility
The Denver Broncos haven’t officially recognized Dolbin’s passing but it hasn’t gone unnoticed by the team he helped get to their first Super Bowl in 1978. Jim Saccomano, the Broncos VP of public relations, tweeted Thursday evening:
Very sad news this morning. Former wide receiver Jack Dolbin has passed away. Few, if any peers catching the ball… #fb
