The man suspected in a shooting incident in Pottsville Saturday afternoon let everyone know this afternoon that he’s innocent. And he’s at the beach. When he gets back, he’ll turn himself in.
He announced it on a public Facebook post for the ages today.
Isaiah Jared Samuels posted after 1 p.m. Monday the following to his Facebook profile: “I’m innocent and will be turning myself in when I get back from the beach!!!!!!!!”

Earlier in the day, Pottsville Police said they got a felony arrest warrant on Samuels for a “shots fired” call in the city on Saturday afternoon.
Police say the incident happened at about 3:45 p.m. near Third and Harrison streets in Pottsville.
In a tweet posted earlier this morning, Pottsville PD asked anyone with information on Samuels’ whereabouts should call them at their HQ. So, apparently he’s on Twitter or read one of two news reports on the warrant and decided to issue his own release.

The Canary lurked around Facebook and did see someone indicate that Samuels may not be the shooter. Instead, he could have been the one getting shot at.
We firmly believe in innocent until proven guilty. And we’re not trying to mock Samuels but this move is up there with the classics, for sure.

There was a driver & passenger in the vehicle the shots came from so why was only one arrest warrant issued? And they still can’t find this guy who has family all over the Pottsville area. It’s not hard to figure out who they are since he’s still on Facebook & tags them in his posts. Something fishy is going on in Pottsville!
