Five Schuylkill League teams are in action Thursday in the quarterfinal round of the PIAA baseball and softball tournaments.
In baseball, Schuylkill Haven, North Schuylkill and Blue Mountain remain alive in the state tournament.
Pine Grove and Williams Valley hope to keep the Schuylkill League alive in the state softball tournament, too.
