Ruby Tuesday has closed its doors for good in Schuylkill County after a couple decades in business.
The casual dining chain restaurant located in Norwegian Township at the Pottsville Park Plaza has a note on its front doors telling customers that it’s no longer open.
“Dear valued Ruby Tuesday guests, we have made the unfortunate decision to permanently close our Pottsville location. We thank you for all your years of patronage and will miss you all,” the sign reads.

According to employees at a nearby business in the Plaza, the restaurant was open as late as last week and did a brisk business on Mother’s Day.
The closure of Ruby Tuesday’s lone location in Schuylkill County follows the chain folding up in the Lehigh Valley and Berks County last year and its lone spot in Lebanon County earlier this year.
According to Chowhound, as of late 2025, there were about 200 Ruby Tuesday locations nationwide, mostly in the eastern and southeastern US.
The restaurant in Schuylkill County was built in 1999, according to the County’s Parcel Locator tool.
