A Schuylkill County man faces multiple felony drug charges after police say they found methamphetamine and heroin at his residence on Wednesday.
David Rich, 48, of Pottsville, is charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and heroin, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Members of the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force and State Police executed a search warrant on Wednesday at Rich’s property at 323 Spring Garden St., police say. The search followed a joint investigation into methamphetamine distribution in Pottsville that began in February.
Upon entering the residence, officers detained Rich and one other occupant, police say. A search of the home revealed quantities of methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
During an interview with law enforcement, Rich admitted to selling methamphetamine and heroin from the residence, police allege.
Rich was taken into custody and arraigned before Schuylkill County District Magistrate Anthony J. Kilker. He was committed to Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $100,000 straight bail.
