A Schuylkill County woman is facing multiple counts of retail theft after police say she repeatedly stole Nesquik, cigarettes, and other items from a Turkey Hill.
Police in Rush Township say that on Dec. 26, shortly before 4 a.m., Jessica Polly, 35, of Tamaqua, and an unidentified man walked into the Hometown Turkey Hill on Claremont Ave.
Polly is seen on surveillance video grabbing a bag of chips and walking to the back of the store.
There, police say Polly grabs two Ben & Jerry’s ice cream containers, a Nesquik drink, and two sodas and puts them into her bag.
Polly then goes behind the register counter and takes multiple cartons of cigarettes and puts them in her bag as well.
Both walk out of the store without paying. Turkey Hill says the total value of the items stolen that night was $357.37.
A few weeks later, Polly allegedly returns to the same Turkey Hill.
On Jan. 14, shortly after 2 a.m., Polly and an unknown man enter the Hometown Turkey Hill.
Polly is seen on surveillance video walking to the back of the store and placing an energy drink into a blue bag. She then walked behind the counter and takes multiple lottery tickets, placing them in the blue bag.
Police say Polly then went back out onto the store floor, grabs two sandwiches and two Nesquik drinks and puts them in the same blue bag.
The unidentified man hands Polly two more Nesquik drinks while she grabs another energy drink.
They then exit the store without paying.
The total value of the items allegedly stolen that night total $111.72.
The final incident allegedly happened on Jan. 26, at about 1:30 a.m.
Polly is once again seen with an unidentified man entering the store. This time, three Nesquik drinks, three energy drinks, and an iced tea are placed into a blue bag.
The man then allegedly took a soda and a half gallon of ice cream and places them in the blue bag.
Polly then goes behind the counter and takes multiple cartons of smokes and places them in the very same bag.
Once again, police say, the duo leaves without paying.
The value of all items allegedly stolen that night was $529.58.
In total, Turkey Hill values all items stolen at $998.67, including multiple cartons of cigarettes and 8 Nesquiks.
Polly is facing three separate misdemeanor counts of retail theft. She’s been ordered to appear at a preliminary hearing on those charges on March 31.
