Police in Schuylkill County say they’re investigating a case of apparent bank fraud that occurred last year where the victims lost close to $30,000.
State Police-Frackville say they were told by at least two people in Tuscarora, Schuylkill Township that an unknown person gained access to their bank accounts and made several unauthorized transfers from them.
One victim told police they are out more than $27,000 from this case of suspected fraud. Another victim said that more than $2,200 was taken from their account because of these unauthorized transfers.
The investigation into this incident which was reported in early December is ongoing.
