Two water projects in Schuylkill County have been awarded nearly a half-million dollars in state grant funding.
The money comes from the PA Small Water and Sewer grant program, awareded through the state’s Dept. of Community and Economic Development.
These are the projects awarded the grant funding:
Blythe Township Municipal Authority — $218,334 to replace the Llewellyn water transmission line in Branch Township.
Minersville Municipal Authority — $270,000 to replace the New Castle Street waterline.
“Investing in water and sewer infrastructure is a responsible use of public dollars that protects public health and strengthens our communities,” State Rep. Tim Twardzik says. “Projects like these ensure our neighbors have reliable systems not just for today but for generations to come.”
