It’s Furiday Friends on Coal Region Canary!
This week, we’re featuring a pup from Char-Will’s German Shepherd Rescue that’s had a tragic first eight years of her life but you could be the one to make her remaining years extra special.
Today’s spotlight is on Sophia.
Sophia has not had the best of life in her eight years. If being left in a yard to slowly starve to death wasn’t enough, when X-rayed, they found she had been shot with a bullet, which she carries with her to this day.
To add to her misery, she is also heartworm positive.
After all this, you would think she would not be too fond of us humans yet she is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet.
Sophia is currently in a wonderful foster home getting all the love she has craved for so long while she is getting the treatment to rid her of the heartworms that would eventually kill her, left untreated.
