A man was apprehended on multiple domestic violence charges after he fled the scene of the latest incident in Schuylkill County.
Police in Mahanoy City say they were called to a home on W. Mahanoy St. on the morning of Oct. 9 for a reported assault.
At the scene, police say the victim of the alleged incident said her boyfriend, Josuet Datil Valle, 32, of Allentown, punched her in the face and ran away.
The victim had a swollen face and lip area where she said Datil Valle had punched her. She said they were arguing outside on the sidewalk when he punched her in the face.
Datil Valle then ran away on W. Mahanoy St. as she called 9-1-1.
Police say they searched the area for Datil Valle but initially could not find him.
Court records show he was arrested on Oct. 13 and charged with two counts of simple assault. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge James Reiley and sent to Schuylkill County Prison on $5,000 bail on those charges.
At the time of the Oct. 9 incident, Datil Valle was already wanted in connection with a similar incident that allegedly occurred on Sept. 15. He was also arraigned on two more simple assault and a harassment charge for that incident. Bail was set at $5,000 cash in that case, too.
