Furiday Friends: Meep and Karma Need Forever Homes

Paws ready for adoption

It’s Furiday Friends on Coal Region Canary!

Each week, we partner with Hillside SPCA to share the stories of pets who are waiting for their forever homes.

Adoption isn’t just about bringing home an animal—it’s about giving them the second chance they deserve and gaining a companion who will fill your life with love.

This week, meet Karma and Meep, two very different pets with one thing in common: they’re both ready to find families who will open their hearts and homes.

Meep

Meep is a 4-month-old orange tiger kitten who has already proven himself to be a tiny fighter. At just a few weeks old, things looked bleak—he was very sick and nearly lost his left eye.

Thanks to dedicated care and a lot of luck, his eye was saved, and today Meep shines with all the personality you’d expect from a mischievous orange cat.

He’s absolutely starved for attention and lives to play, play, play. Meep will need an adopter who can give him a little extra care over the long term, but his prognosis for a happy, healthy, and full life is excellent.

This special boy has already beaten the odds, and now he’s looking for someone to love him forever. Meep’s story is one of survival, resilience, and boundless affection—will you be the one to give him the home he so richly deserves?

Karma

Karma is a senior brindle mix, at least 8 years old, who recently arrived at Hillside SPCA as a stray. While staff are still getting to know her, one thing is clear—she’s a stubborn but friendly girl with a love for long walks.

She’ll be spayed and dog-tested prior to adoption and is already up to date on her vaccinations.

Karma may be older, but she’s full of personality and ready to bring companionship and loyalty to a family willing to give her the second chance she deserves.
