A Schuylkill County man was jailed earlier this week after police say he violated a Protection From Abuse (PFA) order twice since Wednesday and at least six times since April.
Court documents show that Troopers from State Police-Schuylkill Haven were dispatched to a home in Auburn to investigate at PFA violation on Sept. 2, at about 11 p.m.
The victim told police that Tyler Regnier, 28, of Cass Township, had repeatedly been banging on the front and back doors of her home earlier that night. She was able to sneak away from her home for a while and upon her return, did not see Regnier in the area.
However, a short time later, Regnier was reportedly back at her residence and once again began banging on the doors. After telling him that she was calling the police, the victim said Regnier left the area in an unknown direction.
A search of the area came up empty for Regnier.
On Sept. 4, shortly after midnight, police were once again called to the same Auburn home. Regnier was reportedly back and in addition to banging on the front door, he allegedly threw rocks at the side of the house.
Before police arrived, Regnier reportedly fled the scene.
Just before 3 a.m., police say they located Regnier in his mother’s back yard. He was taken into custody and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker on a felony stalking charge and a misdemeanor charge of prowling at night.
Kilker set bail at $50,000 cash and Regnier was remanded to Schuylkill County Prison, where court records show he remains as of this article publishing.
Police say Regnier has violated this PFA order numerous times prior to these incidents: on April 5, May 26, June 8, and August 6.
