A Schuylkill County man is accused of smearing dog feces in a woman’s face because she apparently didn’t move out of his residence fast enough.
According to court records, police in Frackville were called to a home on S. Broad Mountain Ave. on Aug. 24 for a report of a domestic altercation.
When police arrived, they spoke with the alleged victim of this incident. The victim, police say, had animal feces smeared on her face. She said that an argument between her and her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Schafer, 35, began because he accused her of not moving out of their residence fast enough. The day prior, they decided to part ways.
During the argument, the victim said, Schafer became angry and smeared their dog’s feces in her mouth and on her face. The victim said she quickly packed some of her belongings and stayed with family for the night.
The next day, police say they received more information in their investigation of this incident that indicated the victim had suffered physical injuries that allegedly occurred during the altercation the previous day.
The victim reportedly told police that the injuries were the result of her falling into a heater in the bathroom as she attempted to keep Schafer out of it during their argument.
Police have filed charges of simple assault and harassment against Schafer. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge James Reiley on Aug. 25. Reiley set bail at 10% of $10,000 and committed him to Schuylkill County Prison.
Schafer posted bail the following day. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 24 before Judge Edward Tarantelli.
