A reported house fire inside a Pottsville home Friday night is currently under investigation.
Firefighters from Pottsville and a team from Schuylkill Haven were dispatched to 720 W. Norwegian St. at around 9 p.m. Friday.
According to Asst. Fire Chief Dan Kelly, of West End Hose Co., the fire was limited to a room and its contents.
No injuries were reported at the scene. Four dogs and the residents of the home all escaped safely. Several cats are believed to be inside. Their status as of Friday night was unknown.
