Furiday Friends: Harlow and Chickpea Need Forever Homes

Make some room for these loving creatures

Let’s meet this week’s pets of the week from Hillside SPCA: Chickpea, a playful pit mix with a goofy streak, and Harlow, a tuxedo cat ready for her second chance after 5½ years in a home.

Both are eager to find their forever families!

Harlow

Harlow is a 6-year-old tuxedo cat who has found herself back at the shelter after 5½ years through no fault of her own.

She’s spayed, up to date on shots, and ready for her second chance.

Harlow previously lived peacefully with two beagles, gets along well with other cats, and is gentle with kids.

She may need a little adjustment time, but once she settles in, you’ll see her sweet personality shine. This girl is more than ready for her true forever home.

Chickpea

Chickpea is a 2-year-old pit mix with endless energy and a goofy personality—shelter staff lovingly describe her as a total dingus.

She’s playful, jumpy, and craves attention, making her a great fit for a family with older kids who can keep up with her fun-loving spirit. Chickpea loves her walks and will happily soak up every ounce of affection you give.

She’ll need to be the only pet in the home, but trust us—this silly, sweet girl has more than enough love to go around!
