Multiple Dead Dogs Found in Schuylkill County Dumpster, One Found Alive

Police in Schuylkill County are investigating a case of suspected animal cruelty after multiple dogs were found dead in a dumpster but one was still alive.

According to State Police-Schuylkill Haven, the discovery was made in a dumpster along Route 183-North in Wayne Township on Thursday at 4:12 p.m. Police say they initially got a report of someone dumping trash in a dumpster.

As police went through the dumped trash bags, multiple dead dogs were found inside. However, one dog was still alive. The surviving dog was rushed to a nearby veterinary hospital for emergency treatment.

Police say a silver or gray Ford SUV was observed at the scene.

No other details of this ongoing investigation are currently available.
