Police in Schuylkill County are asking for the public’s help in an investigation into suspected arson earlier this month.
According to State Police in Frackville, the incident happened overnight Saturday, Aug. 2, on Clay Street in New Philadelphia. Investigators say someone lit a gas can on fire on the home’s back porch, causing the porch to become engulfed in flames.
Surveillance video from the area reportedly shows a white man running from the backyard immediately after the fire started.
