A homeless Schuylkill County woman has been jailed after she allegedly entered an apartment and began taking items.
According to court documents, police in Minersville were called to an apartment on Sunbury St. at about 3 p.m. on Tuesday. At that time, the resident reported that a woman – later identified as 40-year-old Brandina Grass – had just walked into his apartment.
The resident reportedly told Grass to leave multiple times but she ignored him each time. Grass was reportedly taking items and eventually left.
As police canvassed the area, the victim notified them that Grass was just around the corner from his place.
Grass was confronted by police. They say Grass had a plastic bag of quarters on her that the victim said was his.
Grass was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker and remanded to Schuylkill County Prison on 10% of $10,000 bail.
She’s been charged with burglary and criminal trespass, both felonies, along with theft and receiving stolen property, both misdemeanors.
