A Schuylkill County man has been indicted on federal child pornography charges.
According to information from the US Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, Thomas Keister, 68, was recently indicted on charges of distributing, receiving, and possessing child pornography.
Keister is alleged to have committed these crimes between March 2021 and October 2023.
The case against Keister was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations – Allentown, according to the US Attorney’s Office and Tatum R. Wilson will be prosecuting the case against Keister.
If he’s eventually convicted of these crimes, Keister faces up to 20 years in federal prison. These charges carry a mandatory minimum 5-year sentence, supervised release, and a fine.
