A Pottsville man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash last week.
According to information released by State Police-Schuylkill Haven, the crash happened on Sept. 11, a little after 5:30 p.m. along Brockton Mountain Rd. in Ryan Township.
At that time and place, police say 21-year-old Raven Womer, 21, was headed south on his Yamaha FZS1000 on Brockton Mountain Rd., just south of its intersection with Front Rd.
While attempting to negotiate a right curve in the road, Womer reportedly lost control of his motorcycle. Womer and the bike fell onto their right side and crossed into the northbound lane of the road. The bike and Womer continued to slide south, off the road and down an embankment, eventually hitting a tree.
Womer was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill for treatment of reportedly serious injuries, police say.
