A Schuylkill County woman is in prison after a rowdy incident in late September.
According to information from State Police in Schuylkill Haven, they responded to M&Q Packaging on Earl St. in Haven at a little past 7 p.m. on Sept. 29.
That’s where they say they encountered 43-year-old Rebekah Lipinski, of Minersville. Lipinski was refusing to leave company property after being ordered to do so by staff at the plastics company.
Police ordered Lipinski to leave the premises, too, but again she refused. So, she was put into cuffs and taken back to the Schuylkill Haven barracks.
But Lipinski’s rowdiness didn’t end there. Police say while she was in custody, Lipinski managed to slip off her handcuffs and escape the building. They were able to catch up to her after he escape attempt but she continued resisting arrest.
Lipinski was arraigned before District Judge David Plachko on misdemeanor charges of defiant trespass, escape, and resisting arrest. Plachko sent her to Schuylkill County Prison on $25,000 cash bail. She’s yet to post the 10% required to get herself out of jail until her preliminary hearing on Oct. 7.
