Police Arrest Man in Schuylkill County They Say Violated Conditions of Megan’s Law

Louis Gibson failed to register for several months, police say.

State Police in Schuylkill County say they’ve apprehended a man who violated requirements of Megan’s Law.

At 11 a.m. Monday, State Police-Schuylkill Haven say their investigation into Louis Gibson, of Yeadon, Delaware County, led them to a home on Stephens Rd. in West Brunswick Township.

Gibson, they say, missed monthly reporting requirements for several months, placing him in non-compliant status.

Police say that Gibson did not register that West Brunswick address with them prior to his residing there.

The State Police Megan’s Law website shows Gibson was convicted of sexual assault against a non-minor in 2024 for an offense that occurred in 2012. His registration on Megan’s Law list began in April 2025 and his record was last updated in December.

Gibson was arraigned on felony charges of failing to verify his address and be photographed before Magisterial District Judge James Reiley on Monday. Reiley set bail at $20,000 cash.

Bond was posted on Tuesday and Gibson was released from custody.
